11th June 2017
Summer has arrived here with a vengeance. We have enjoyed temperatures in the mid 30s for most days this week with nights around 21 degrees. This has meant a sudden switch to summer living, checking the aircon, taking up the hall carpets and dusting down the fans. Still, I’m not complaining although it is only the middle of June.
As most of my readers know, I absolutely love this adopted country of ours and am so sad that our friends in the UK see Turkey is a dangerous country. I am therefore very amused to read this article (CLICK HERE) a very tongue in cheek look at the joys of living here.
I mentioned last week that we had enjoyed a great Indian meal at Club Nen on the seafront. I am delighted to hear that they are now doing a happy hour every night from 18.00 to 21.30 – buy a cocktail and get one free.
There is quite an informative article in Fethiye Times about the ways to make a transfer from Dalaman Airport (CLICK HERE). Many people already have their favourite ways of getting to their holiday destinations but it’s interesting to review the different modes of transport.
We are still enjoying ten pin bowling at Switch Gocek – if you fancy something different, why not pop in and give it a go. You can also eat, drink and watch TV sport there – plus various table games. It’s well signed down a side street almost opposite West Café. (CLICK HERE).
